Designer : Jessica Mao
I was fortunate to know at a young age that I wanted to be a creator. When I was a child I was caught playing with make-up that belong to my mother, who later taught me how to sew when I was 9 years old.
I was lucky my high school offered fashion design as an elective, and blessed that I was able to attend The School of Fashion Design in Boston before I started my 4 years of education at Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
After graduating with my BFA in fashion design in 2015 I went to work as a seamstress for a company that specialized in uniforms for police, fire, and the MBTA. Today, I am a technical designer at Bennett & Company, where I play a role in designing lingerie for several top brands in the industry.
In my free time I enjoy looking into beauty trends and teaching myself new techniques for applying make-up.
